Speaker: Wesley Jarmon

Wesley Jarmon is a “retired” employee from the Federal Government who now lives in Sun City. He worked for 32 years as an administrator in the financial accounting operations at the Headquarters Office for the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in Washington, D.C. and has more than 40 years in financial accounting and auditing. Mr. Jarmon is also a life member to Blacks In Government (BIG) and the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.

He received his B.S. degree from Texas Southern University and his M.B.A from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. Mr. Jarmon has also served as a Voting Rights Observer for 12 years and became the founder and current President of the Ernest Everett Just Foundation, Inc. (EEJFI) and was appointed in 2003 to the Text Book Adoption Committee for the Prince George’s County Public School (Maryland) District.

After learning about the educational achievements of Dr. Ernest Everett Just by reading his biography “The Black Apollo of Science”, Mr. Jarmon created in 1999 this not-for-profit organization, the Ernest Everett Just Foundation, Inc. (EEJFI) to encourage scientists, doctors, and other educators to mentor science, technology, engineering and mathematics students and to help raise scholarship funds for high school graduates pursuing STEM studies in college. Mr. Jarmon is currently the Basileus (President) of the Epsilon Iota Chapter of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity in Austin, Texas.
