A Legend exists about a grandfather who shares an internal struggle with this grandson portraying it as two wolves. One wolf exhibited destructive emotions and behaviors, the other redemptive ones. This has been America’s conflict since the first Europeans set foot on the continent. The last 4 years has brought this dilemma into grotesque relief but their roots are more the historical norm than an aberration. In the story the grandson inquires, “which wolf will win?” The simple reply will determine the future of the United States. How will we respond personally and as a nation?
