In 1848 the renowned Unitarian Minister Theodore Parker preached a sermon by this same title. He decried, “There is a lamentable want of first principles, well known and established, the authority of truth and justice.” Rev. Freeman will deliver his 2020 take on Parker’s homily. You won’t be stunned hearing that the themes are virtually unchanged and the sacred medicine is constant. “A State where liberty, equality, and kinship are deeds as well as words…and “the American church tuning all to harmony of freedom for the mind, freedom for the heart, freedom for the soul.”
