The news continues to be filled with stories of Racism in responses to “taking a knee” during the National Anthem, to comments and backlash on Charlottesville and Alt-Right activities, concerns in Georgetown with test scores from Students, discussions regarding our own Confederate Monument on Public Property, and efforts by Courageous Conversations to promote Affordable Housing, Living Wages and equal opportunities for employment. The Black Lives UU collective who received a Service Award at the UU General Assembly last Summer is once again encouraging UU Congregations to address these kinds of considerations on an October Sunday. Let’s join together to honor their request and share respectfully in story, song and sermon.
