We are closing the gap on stewardship!

At last check, we are nearing the $150k mark of our $190k goal!

It has come to our attention that some folks are reluctant to pledge, given the economic and political instability. Those instabilities impact investment and retirement accounts, and there are the looming threats to social security. Here's our guidance on those issues as they relate to pledging.

First, we understand that unforeseen changes will impact people's giving ability.

Second, we do not expect people to give beyond their means when circumstances change.

Third, the pledge is a statement of intent in good faith assuming, generally, that things proceed in the foreseen way.

So, we ask that you pledge according to your current plans given how things are now. If things change for you, you can just drop the Treasurer a note later reducing your pledge to the new level necessitated by the change. This will allow us to have the best projected budget that is possible under the circumstances.

In that way the pledge is a statement of intent, not a promise that must be kept regardless of changing circumstances. I hope this clarifies things and please let me know if you have any questions.
