SGUUF February Art Show Guidelines – “All You Need Is Love”

Volunteers are always needed for hanging and “strike” (taking down) of the exhibition.
We hope for 10-20 Pieces!
I. Theme: “All You Need is Love”
Maximum height and width is 16" x 20”
Minimum height and width is 12”
Weight must be less than 10 lbs. or less
Everyone can submit 2 artworks!!
II. Artwork Accepted – original art of paintings, drawings, photographs, and fiber art.
Canvas can be framed or painted on the edges.
III. Subject matter: Family Friendly – people, places, animals, experiences, things that we love.
IV. SGUUF retains 10% of sale price – there is no cost for Not For Sale (NFS)
V. Exhibition: Month of February
VI. Requirements:
Photos of the artwork must be sent for acceptance to Carolyn Todd
Cell phone photos sent via email are acceptable as long as the image can be viewed clearly by January 29 and acceptance will be sent by January 31. Delivery to SGUUF is February 2, 2025 Sunday at 1:00 pm. PICK UP date is March 2, 2025 at 1:00 pm.
All artwork must be completely dried, framed (for paper, photographs), and ready for public presentation. D rings and wire must be attached to the framed artwork. See the second page below(Michaels and Hobby Lobby in Georgetown sell D rings and wire.) Only 2D artworks are acceptable for wall hanging. No sawtooth hangers on the back of the artwork are acceptable for hanging.
It is recommended that the D rings be placed about 1/2 to 1/3 from the top of the artwork depending on the size of the artwork. Tape can be applied to the wire for convenience as shown below. Information on D rings can be found online. The arrows shown below on the back of the panel board is to show the front side up for hanging.
