As we approach the season of Thanksgiving, and a time of feasting, we’re invited to
something of a musical feast this Sunday at San Gabriel. Our service will consist of
many songs, hymns, and anthems – all composed by one of our own San Gabriel music
leaders – Bill Hornbuckle.
For many years, Bill was active in the music ministry leadership of a number of parish
churches, including our own San Gabriel UU. In retirement, he has turned to composing
– both lyrics and music. A guest double-quartet and several of our San Gabriel singers
will help to lead our service. And, of course, Jacquie and Joe, with their extraordinary
keyboard skills, will be at the center of it all.
Tune up those rusty vocal cords and come prepared to both listen and join in the pre-
Thanksgiving feast of singing.
