Gratitude

Hello Church,

I hope you will take a moment to read as I share some thoughts as your Board President. And I hope you recognize yourself in these words as we continue to create a sense of oneness in our Fellowship and on our journey toward beloved community beyond our walls. I was struck last Sunday, as I am on other Sundays, by the energy in the room and the many people who participate in our Sunday worship experience.

  • Did you sense community last Sunday with our Joining Ceremony? Once again, WELCOME to the
    new signers of the book!
  • Rev. Jami certainly helped us connect our past as Unitarian Universalists to the future of our
Association. We will be considering a new way of thinking about the Principles and Sources in
the days ahead through conversations around Article II.
  • Coffee and Conversation continues to be a wonderful offering of food and drink, conversations
    and connections.
  • The art that brightens our walls each week represents talents shared and gifts received.
  • The piles of limbs from the ice storm are neatly stacked to be moved to the curb this week for pick up.
  • Extra chairs in our conversation space were moved before the service Sunday to allow that room to be less crowded.
  • Announcements were shared in a handout and warm greetings offered as we each arrived.
  • Music was inspiring and the service was delivered to about 20 people online.
  • There was singing, hugs, laughter and concerns shared.

And that was just last Sunday! And to all who participated, even if you only added your voice to “We Would Be One,” we are grateful. We are amazingly fortunate to be so strong after this post pandemic year of learning to not be afraid of being together. Gratitude Abounds for so many helping hands!
