This is a question that is applicable to most of life as we know it right now — from getting groceries to where and how to exercise to what is essential and what isn’t, all the way to what does it mean to be part of a church, a fellowship, a community of faith during these dark, difficult, despairing times? How do we make this San Gabriel Unitarian Universalist community work? I don’t mean how do we put together a Sunday service or have board and committee meetings. I mean how do we make certain that this fellowship will survive during these times and thrive once we return to more “normal” times? Compassion must be at the heart of how we do this. Join me virtually this weekend for some thoughts on compassion and how it is more relevant than ever right now.
