William H. “Smitty” Smith, Ed.D., established the National Center for Race Amity in 2010 with  the help of a founding grant from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation. The goal of the NCRA is to  advance cross-racial and cross-cultural friendship by moving the public discourse on race beyond  the blame-grievance-rejection framework to one that recognizes and celebrates our ability to  overcome racial prejudice through association amity and collaborative action.

We are reaching out to the local faith groups asking for help in any way they are comfortable  with. We will reach out to GCCMA asking for their input also.

 Joining the planning committee.

 Providing speakers or prayers at the event.

 Attend the event.

At this point the current planning committee has met once and set basic goals. We are willing to  add or change our goal and welcome input from the community.
