Beginning in March, SGUUF is planning to hold two adult education classes for our members and visitors to attend on Sunday mornings beginning at 9:30 am before the Sunday service hour. These classes have emerged out of the responses we received to the recent adult religious education survey.
The first of these classes is entitled Me and God: Explorations in Faith and Spirituality led by Lou Snead. This 6-session class will invite participants to identify where they are on a faith/spirituality spectrum (ranging from atheist, to agnostic, to paganist, to pantheist, to theist, etc.) and to share how and why they arrived at this perspective. After unpacking religious terms and examining the variety of faith expressions that exist in the world today this class will engage participants in exploring what faith issues and questions we wrestle with today.
This class will be held in the Fellowship House and will meet on two Sundays each month – March 3rd and March 17, April 14 and April 28, May 5 and 26.
If you have any questions please contact the DRE or Woody Hibbard.
