The Installation Dedication Celebration at the UU Church of the Brazos Valley was a big success!

On October 14th, the Reverend Kiya Heartwood was installed as the settled minister at the Brazos UU Church, and the new (not quite complete) church building was dedicated, as several ministers from around the country attended the event in Bryan, Texas. Among those attending were previous Brazos UU ministers Rev. Kathleen Ellis and Rev. Aaron Stockwell, Rev. Erin Walters of TXUUJM, a bagpipe player, a nine-foot tall angel, and our own Rev. Jami Yandle, who spoke on behalf of Natalie Briscoe (in lieu of a baseball tournament). There were tours of the magnificent (yet unfinished) church building, imagining of the future that this sacred space will create, along with a bounce house and a very popular miniature donkey named “Benny”.
