Hi Beloved San Gabriel Fellowship,

I wanted to draw your attention to two upcoming important events.

1) I will be helping to coordinate a “Greeter Training” which the Southern Region UUA staff will be leading – local UU congregations are invited to our fellowship to participate. This will be an in person event and snacks will be provided. You need not be a greeter to come, all are welcome, this is a special opportunity for us to spend time with other UU’s around Texas. Save the date, RSVP to come:

July 22 1-4:00 pm – location is our fellowship

2) TXUUJM has the opportunity to organize an evening conversation over Zoom with Paula Cole Jones, who both wrote the 8th Principle and is on the Article II commission. She would love to do this with Texas folks on Tuesday, June 13, 6:30-8:30pm CT, so that folks feel well informed about things, can ask questions, discuss the relationship between 8th Principle and Article II, etc., right before GA.

3) Book Communion! I am organizing a book communion, focusing on our UU values of revelation never being sealed (hats off to John Luther Adams). If you would like to participate, bring a book to our service on June 11th to be given away. In exchange for that,you will receive a book of your choice.

* For participation in the sermon, if there is a particular passage you want to read outloud to the congregation, please write Rev. Jami (minister@sangabrieluu.org) to organize how this will fit into the worship. Banned books are especially welcomed!
