The water communion or ceremony is a uniquely UU ritual first created by UU women leaders in 1980. As we mingle water together from many different sources, we symbolize a coming home of sorts, a return to each other’s company, as all water in nature gathers together, first in raindrops, then creeks and rivers, and finally in lakes and oceans. Please gather and bring to church a small amount of water to pour into our communal bowl and briefly share what water symbolizes in your life.
